Is Australia, The Next Fashion Hotspot?

It takes roughly 23–24hours to get to Australia from the US, yet even with that time difference it seems more than ever to be the next hotspot for those abroad. Australian brands, have won over the hearts of american millenials and we just can't seem to get enough. There is a subtle edge and sophiscation that these brands bring that is effortless. It comes as something that is as simple as breathing, and while fashion capitals of the world have been long standing; Paris, New York etc.  I strongly believe as australian brands become better and better we can't help but want to be part of the change.

While those down-under have typically been protraited as relaxed and easy-going; that has long overshadowed the sophistication and elegance of aussie fashion. Brands such Sass & Bide have been around since the 90s and have long stood their ground; however new labels have since emerged and the future looks fabulous.

Labels, such as C/Meo collective and Camille and Marc since their inception have continued to grab our attention with clean asthetics and breathtaking silohuettes. The amount of attention to detail is mesmerizing to me. These brands offer more than just effortless fashion but timeless pieces. From what I am seeing, I am not only captivated by the relaxed feel but we can't seem to get enough of the edgy that these labels bring.

Currently, my favs are By Johnny and The Mode Collective; these too labels continue to blow my mind and how easily they are able to combine feminine elegance with contemporary edge. If you haven't checked them out, now is the time. Yes, fashion is taking a new residence and I believe Australia is just the place. I will not be surprise to see an influx of of 20s somethings taking flight to take part in the aussie evolution. I myself, am planning to see first hand the place that is influencing our aesthetic miles away. Milennials more than ever before are capitvated by travel and are actually doing it. So with that means international labels are becoming more accessible- australia looks to be the upcoming it spot.

What aussie brands are you currently obssessing over? Is australia on your list of places to see and why?
