3 things i learned from being in a foreign Place
God is ever present.
God will always send a good samaritan your way to help with your load. Sometimes the best support is from someone who connects with you on a level deeper than just obligation. Strangers become friends and new alliances are made. You get an overwhelming desire to pass along the good deed you have received and most of all we are more grateful. We come to understand that though we are strangers in a foreign place God has not taken his eye off of us and no matter how far we go or how many oceans we cross his love transcends all that. We get to experience his unrelenting love in a physically tangible way through arms, giving and generosity of another human being. Giving without anticipation of receiving and receiving without being held hostage to expectations or ownership. And isn't that what love is all about?
Believe in your own power to create
Believe in your own power to create opportunities. Things will not always pan out as you imagine it but how you answer the call of the troubles will determine your survival. Honestly, I suck at this. I am such a plan and execute person that I always expect everything to go as I have planned it and nothing else.
It may seem overly demanding but let's be honest who likes when their perfectly constructed plan and goal does not go as plan... No One!!
During these times, however, I have learned that some of the best outcomes come out of life's mishaps. We get to think faster-- move faster and work with extreme precision. Which in turn, sets us up for a sure win and power surge.
We believe we can again.
We push past our shortcomings because we realized that though obstacles came we conquered. And what an awesome feeling it is to know you conquered. It's exhilarating.
Share your Light
We often underestimate the number of people here on this earth. While we come from small towns, metropolitan cities, and even islands. We see the world in the purview of these places, which are just specks in comparison to the billions of people around the globe.
There are living beings experiencing real life issues and they are not limited to what is tolerable in our small communities. We as individuals, have so much to offer those that cross our path.
Our experiences no only shape us ~~ but, also shape our world. Every encounter with another human being is an opportunity to shape the world. Whether it's a quick chat in the elevator or a random introduction in a market we must make a conscious effort to not be selfish.
Share your light. You will be surprised by how valuable you are.
As always, Peace, Love + Great Coffee.
