The sun shines brightest on those who chase after it.
Learning from the past is tough, because in the process of intaking we often overthink and dwell too much on what was. We have to many “should have” or “could have” moments; and frankly, we do not always know how to get away from that.
But if we can take one lesson from fashion is that the past is a foundation we build upon. It helps us develop better and greater things.
Remember the tailored silhouettes the 60’s and the restricting bodices of the 18th century these things all set the foundation for many of the garments we were today.
I for one am a huge vintage lover, something about the past fashions captivate me. It is the opportunity to partake in an era that once was.
Style is forever.
Both my pants and bag were a thrift find. The moment I saw them I knew they were it, the cut and fit while hanging on the hanger just spoke to me. Crazy right? But clothes and I have a language and long before I have put on a piece I know whether I will love it or hate.
This one has become a staple for me while I am looking for something comfortable to run errands in.
We all have that one piece that seems to be our go-to; this one has been added to my list.
What are some vintage pieces you are currently loving right now?
