3 Essential Pieces For Any Wardrobe

Hello Beautiful People!! Thanks for stopping by once more to check out this piece of me. I am still giving simple steps to building a transitional wardrobe without breaking the bank.

Here is an another edition! Hope you find these helpful.

Today I am focusing on basics that have transcended trends, season and even time. Three simple things you need to have in your wardrobe:

1. Classic Black Pencil skirt - This piece is effortlessly stylish. It is so versatile, whether for work or a day out. A black pencil skirt is a must have in any women's wardrobe.

You can always add a little edge, by purchasing one in an unconventional fabric/design, like these I am wearing in faux leather. Similar pair here. or in a non-traditional shape like this here.

2. White Shirt- If you don't have one of these in your closet, go out and buy one, Trust me. Get something that speaks to your style, maybe you like lace or bows, whatever it is get one in your closet.  Dress it up like I have for a chic work outfit or wear with jeans for a day out. Similar here and here.

3. A pair of Mary Janes - These shoes are so comfortable and with the right pair you can add a little sophistication to any outfit. Mary Janes have a funny history; being that they are name after a play character  and  initially worn by school aged children. They definitely show the transitions fashion can take. However, the first pair of Mary Janes weren't called Mary Janes and they were worn by both sexes. Fashion and its history is so fascinating, but we will leave the rest of this shoes history for an upcoming "Fashion and History" post.

My pair I bought on sale for less than $20!! Here a similar pair here and one here I am currently craving, though way out of my price range but a girl can dream right?

Life is simple, so don't complicate it or your wardrobe. Always remember in purchasing anything it's all about how you feel in a piece. Don't buy anything because it is on-trend, if you don't feel confident and beautiful in it; then its not for you.

Fashion is constantly changing but true style is timeless.
